Empowering Slum Children in Khulna: A Survey-Driven Development Initiative

The goal of "Dinghy Foundation" in Bangladesh has been a focus since the 2018, with the country committed to achieving 100% enrollment in primary schools by 2024 and removing illiteracy by 2027. Despite efforts, children living in slums are among the most disadvantaged in Bangladesh, often lacking access to basic services and education. Many slum families work as day laborers, making it difficult to afford child care and leaving children unattended, putting them at risk. The government often overlooks the needs of slum residents, leading to a lack of education and supervision for the children living there. The main focus on this survey:

1. Access to education: Examine if slum children have equal access to education compared to children from other areas.

2. Enrollment rate: Determine the enrollment rate of slum children in schools, and identify any barriers that may prevent them from attending school.

3. Quality of Education: Assess the quality of education provided to slum children, including factors such as the availability of qualified teachers, adequate resources and materials, and appropriate learning environments.

4. Dropout rate: Investigate the reasons for high dropout rates among slum children, and identify ways to keep them in school.

5. Learning Outcomes: Evaluate the academic performance of slum children, and compare it to the performance of children from other areas.

6. Parental involvement: Examine the level of parental involvement in their children's education, and identify ways to increase it.

7. Socioeconomic Status: Assess the impact of socioeconomic status on slum children's education, and identify ways to address it.

8. Availability of support: Determine the availability of support programs and services for slum children's education, such as tutoring and counseling services, and identify ways to improve it.

In conclusion, collecting data on slum children's education can provide valuable insights into the challenges and barriers they face in accessing education. The data can also help to identify the specific needs and preferences of slum children, and inform the development of targeted interventions that aim to improve their educational outcomes. We believe, "Better Life || Better World"
